Floral Sprinkles

Pigment sprinkles react with water. So, a unique background is created each time they are used. Here is a bright and colorful one. What do you think?

Stamps:
   None

Paper:
   Granny Apple Green A-2
   Irresistibly Floral DSP 5-1/4 x 4
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   None

Pigment Sprinkles:
   Daffodil Delight
   Granny Apple Green
   Melon Mambo

Technique:
   Watercolor
   Emboss Resist

Accessories:
   Clear Faceted Gems
   Pop-Up Stickers
   Adhesive

First, I cut my Irresistibly Floral DSP to size. This paper is embossed with a glossy white finish. It is perfect to use with any watercolor, sponging, or coloring technique.

I sprinkled the colors lightly on the panel and then misted it with water. I dabbed at the places that accumulated excess water or color.

Note, you do not want to add too many sprinkles or mix too many colors because it will only give you a muddy look. I was rather pleased with my result.

I set the panel aside to dry. I did speed the process up a bit by using a heating tool. You do have to be careful not to burn your panel.

Once the panel dried, I adhered it to the Granny Apple Green card front.

Lastly, I added a few embellishments and adhered the Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

    1. Thank you, Lisa. All of the colors available in sprinkles are beautiful. It is hard for me to decided sometimes on which to choose.
