Misty Thanks

Here is a design that will use up those leftover 1/4" strips of cardstock or designer series paper. I do not like to throw anything that may be usable in the future. So, when I cut up my printed paper, I usually end up with a few strips that were not used. This particular layout will allow you to take those strips out and use them to create a geometrical design on your card. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Itty Bitty Greetings

Paper:
   Melon Mambo A-2
   Granny Apple Green 1/4" Strips
   Blushing Bride 1/2 x 2-1/2
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Marina Mist

Technique:
   Punching

Accessories:
   Lovely Labels Pick a Punch
   Basic Pearl Jewels
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

I used liquid adhesive to attach my strips to the card base because liquid glue allows you a few seconds to adjust your paper before it adheres permanently.

Once all of my strips were attached, I stamped and punched out my sentiment. I attached it using dimensionals.

I then added a couple of pearls and adhered the other Whisper White panel to the inside.

Note that the possibilities of the strips is endless. You can use washi tape, ribbon, other sizes of strips, various widths, etc. Remember, you can be as creative and wild as you want. Add embellishments, stamps, designs in the windows created by the strips...have fun!

  3. I use my scraps too, at least I'm trying to! I recently made a card where I wove paper. You might try that next. Nice card idea!
