2019

Have you ever made a card for a specific occasion and then failed to send it? Ugh, it does happen. Here is a card I made in celebration of a specific year, and here I am two and a half years later with this card in my box. My choices now are probably narrowed to using it on a scrapbook page. What do you think? Any suggestions?

Stamps:
   None

Paper:
   Melon Mambo A-2
   Blushing Bride Glimmer 2-1/4 x 4-1/4, Scraps
   Wood Textures DSP 5-1/4 x 4
   Vellum 5-1/2 x 2-1/4
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   None

Markers:
   Blushing Bride
   Pear Pizzazz
   Melon Mambo

Technique:
   Dry Embossing
   Die Cutting
   Tearing

Accessories:
   Celebrations Duo Embossing Folder
   Large Numbers Framelits Dies
   Itty Bitty Accents
   Vellum Tape
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I took my Blushing Bride Glimmer paper and die cut my numbers. I also used the star punch from the Itty Bitty Accents to create the stars.

I then took a piece of vellum and dry embossed the word, celebrate. Since it was a bit difficult to see, I took three markers and colored on the back of the vellum. I liked the effect it created. I then tore the vellum all around the embossed sentiment. It left the white edge around it which I thought looked great.

Next, I adhered the Wood Textures DSP onto the card front.

I used my vellum tape to adhere the sentiment on the top center of the card. You can also use glue dots if you do not have vellum tape.

I added the Blushing Bride Glimmer die cuts to the card.

Lastly, I adhered the Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

  1. I could use it on a scrap page, or you could you take off the 19 and substitute 22 without damaging the card, maybe using Undu? Or take off the 19 and use it for a 20th birthday, or take off the 20 and have a 19th birthday? Just ideas. It is too beautiful to not use somehow. Have a great week, Sally.
