First, I inked the stamp, using Basic Black ink, and stamped it on a scratch paper to better see the image. I then thoroughly cleaned and dried the stamp.

I then colored the stamp, using the markers listed above. Use any colors you prefer. I began with the Early Espresso and carefully outlined the stamp on the edges of the word, HAPPY. I may have repeated this step at the end before stamping. I can't quite remember. Well, it definitely doesn't hurt.

I used Pacific Point for the water. Early Espresso, but mostly Soft Suede for the land/beach and palm tree trunks. Old Olive was used for the palms on the trees. Pumpkin Pie was used on the distant land/landscape in the background - I wanted it to be like a sunset. I used Balmy Blue for the sky and Daffodil Delight for the sunshine. I outlined the birds with Early Espresso.

I used the Blender Pen to remove ink from the stamp. If I added too much, or thought I colored over a place that should not have color, I used the Blender Pen to lift it, and I brushed it clean on a scratch paper.

Next, I took a Basic White panel and blended the colors on the background, using three different blending brushes. I did this to keep the colors separate. I used Daffodil Delight on the top and came down toward the middle. I added Balmy Blue in the middle, coming in from the sides. And Soft Suede was used on the bottom of the panel.

I then huffed on the colored stamp to moisten the ink, and stamped in the top center of the panel. I added the Birthday on the bottom of the panel, using Early Espresso.

Next, I tied a knot in the center of the Pacific Point stripped ribbon and added it between HAPPY and BIRTHDAY on the card. I used a glue dot to hold the center knot in place and Stampin' Seal+ to secure it on the back.

I then adhered the panel onto a Basic Black matte and then adhered it to the Pacific Point card front.

Lastly, I added a party hat, using a glue dot, next to BIRTHDAY on the card front, and I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.
