Flower Hugs OSW#9

Most designer series paper (DSP) comes in packs of 12 x 12 or 6 x 6. So, no matter which way you begin to cut your paper, you will always have some leftover strips. Here is a card I made using my last strip of DSP cut into three pieces.

Stamps:
   Abstract Impressions

Paper:
   Grapefruit Grove A-2
   Share What You Love DSP 1 x 4 (3)
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Mossy Meadow

Technique:
   One Sheet Wonder

Accessories:
Share What You Love Embellishment Kit
   Adhesive

I used my DSP strips to break up my sentiment. There are many possibilities for arranging these last three strips.

This is the template I used to cut my 12 x 12 DSP:

The thing to remember is to not waste, throw away, or hoard any DSP. Use it all up!

So, what is the secret?

I begin with card fronts. I hold my sheet upright and cut at 4" and 4". This gives me 3 panels. Next, I take each strip and cut at 5-1/2 (No layers) or 5-1/4 (Layer). This gives me 6 card fronts and three strips left over.

I then take each card front and decide to keep it intact or cut it further to yield more cards. You can cut, die cut, emboss, punch, or flip each panel to give it more life. Always use the negative side of a die cut or punched out image. You already have a panel so die cut or punch in a good place to adhere the panel onto a card base. You can also create a shadow effect. Remember: HAVE FUN!
