Blue Shades of Christmas

Anytime you watercolor, you will create a unique card. What do you think of this one?

Stamps:
   Lovely as a Tree

Paper:
   Marina Mist A-2
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)
   Watercolor 5 x 3-3/4

Ink:
   Whisper White Craft
   Marina Mist
   Pacific Point
   Night of Navy

Technique:
   Watercolor Ombre

Accessories:
   Season of Cheer Rub-Ons
   Embossing Buddy
   White Embossing Powder
   Aqua Painter
   Adhesive

First, I brushed my watercolor paper with the embossing buddy.

I then stamped my pine tree using White Craft Ink. I applied some white embossing powder and then heat set it.

Once it was cooled, I applied my blues beginning from the top down to the bottom. Marina Mist first, followed by Pacific Point and then Night of Navy at the bottom. If the color gets too dark, just add some more water.

After the panel was dried, I gently rubbed the pine tree to remove any color from the embossing. This is known as an emboss-resist technique.

I added a rub-on sentiment from my stash and then adhered the panel to a Whisper White panel and then onto the Marina Mist card front. The other Whisper White panel was adhered to the inside of the card.
