First, I chose the designer series paper (DSP) that I wanted to use on the background. I then pulled the colors that coordinated with it.

Since it was a squared background, I chose to place everything in squares and just flip them in different directions to give it some character and interest.

I then went to find Christmas images that were small enough to fit on the 1-1/4 inch squares. I chose four images. Stamped, colored and sponged these on the Whisper White squares.

I adhered the background DSP to the Blushing Bride card base.

I then took the 3" Lemon Lime Twist and punched the corners with the Ticket Corner Punch. I adhered this onto the top-center of the DSP.

Next, I adhered the four Pool Party squares on top of the Lemon Lime Twist square as shown above. Note that the squares are close but not touching each other.

I then took a designer button and adhered it to the center of the Pool Party squares. I used a glue dot to attach it.

I then adhered the Whisper White squares with the images on them. The top and bottom squares were adhered with liquid adhesive. The squares on the left and right were attached using dimensionals.

I stamped my sentiment on a scrap of Whisper White. I stamped it using Garden Green. I punched it out using the Classic Label Punch.

I then adhered it to a scrap of Garden Green and fussy cut around it to give the sentiment a border. I added a small rhinestone on each end. This was attached to the card base using dimensionals.

Lastly, I added candy dots on the ticket corners of the Lemon Lime Twist square, stamped a couple of snowflakes on each corner, and adhered the Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

  1. When I participate in challenges, I'll make winter holiday cards. But, since about April, when my depression started, I haven't created anything. Maybe after I get the remnants of the garage sale taken care of and out of the garage, I'll be ready to set my table up again and create something.

  2. I am with you I create Christmas cards all year long. I actually start the day after I mail out my cards because there is so much inspiration at that time of year that it helps build the stash early. This is a wonderful card. Great images you used.

    1. Thank you, Lisa. I also keep an eye out for any Christmas cards that I can maybe recycle. The only ones I don't consider are those with glitter. They make too much mess, and I like to create my own mess. Thank you for stopping by here and sharing your thoughts. Stay healthy!
