Foiled Again

Can you believe this background was made using foil paper from my pantry? I do like the texture and the look of the background. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Blue Skies (Verve)

Paper:
   Lovely Lipstick A-2
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (2), Scrap
   Aluminum Foil

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black
   Lovely Lipstick

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   Dry Embossing
   Sponging

Accessories:
   Tin Tile Embossing Folder
   Stitched Labels Framelits
   Basic Rhinestone Jewels
   Sponge
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I wrapped a Whisper White panel with foil. I placed it inside of the Tin Tile embossing folder and ran it through the embossing machine.

I then adhered it onto a Lovely Lipstick card front.

Next, I stamped, die cut, and sponged my sentiment. I attached it to the center of the card front using dimensionals. I added a rhinestone on each side of the sentiment for a bit of sparkle.

Lastly, I adhered the other Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

  1. Using tin foil on our cards is so much fun. This is a great emboss folder for the foil too. I have added watered down black paint to the top once I foiled just to bring out the embossing more and it makes for a great BG for masculine cards.

    Beautiful job on this card.

  2. Great background! It's amazing what we can take from our kitchens and use in our craft rooms, like aluminum foil, press and seal and salt! This is a beautiful card!
