I Care

This card uses a 3-D butterfly. Once it is out of the envelope, you can lift the wings and stand the card up to display. The card is easy to assemble and is quite versatile. The sentiment can be switched to anything you need or desire. What do you think?

   Thoughts & Prayers

   Sahara Sand A-2
Best Year Ever DSP 2-1/2" Circle
   Coastal Cabana 3-1/2 x 2-3/4

   Archival Basic Black

   Die Cutting

   White Tea Lace Paper Doily
   Butterfly Thinlits Dies
   2-1/2" Circle Punch
   Glue Dots
   Basic Pearl Jewels

I punched out a 2-1/2" circle from the Best Year Ever DSP and adhered it to the center of the White Tea Lace Paper Doily.

I then glued this piece onto the Sahara Sand card base and trimmed the left edge to be flush with the card base. I kept the cut piece and used it on another card.

I die cut the butterfly and used glue dots to attach it to the card. I added 3 pearls to represent the body of the butterfly.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment on the bottom left side of the card.

  1. This is a very lovely butterfly and a fantastic way to use a doily. I have over 100 doilies that I need to get used up from a purchase for the band and I never used them. Now I am set for a ton of cards with them. I might need to case your card.

  2. I love this card! The color of the butterfly is echoed in the round circle of DSP. Very nice!

  3. Thank you Ladies, I appreciate your kind words. I like the simplicity of the card as well. This is one I might duplicate.
