Inky Wipes

I used distress inks on glossy paper for this card. I really like the results. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Healing Hugs

Paper:
   Regal Rose A-2
   Glossy or Photo Paper 5-1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Distress Oxides

Technique:
   Baby Wipes

Accessories:
   Ribbon
   Silver Rose
   Adhesive

This technique called for distress oxide inks. Unfortunately, all I had were distress inks. The oxides should give you a more vibrant look. Still, here is what I did for my card.

I stamped some ink on my mat. Spritzed a bit of water on it and picked it up with my glossy paper.

I did this for each color and allowed the paper to dry before adding another color. Doing this keeps the color separate and allows them to layer on top of each other instead of blending together to create a new color.

Once all the colors were added, I allowed the panel to dry completely. I then stamped my sentiment with Tuxedo Black Memento.

Next, I carefully wiped the entire panel with a baby wipe. This brings out the color a bit more as the ink reacts to the baby wipe solution. Too much liquid may cause the ink to smear, so you do want to be careful.

I will try this again, as soon as I am able to purchase some oxide inks.
