Mountain Air

This view is destined to make anyone feel better. I would love to be sitting by this window with a warm cup of coffee, enjoying the view.

Stamps:
   Waterfront
   Itty Bitty Greetings

Paper:
   Very Vanilla A-2, 4-1/4 x 3-1/2
   Whisper White 4-1/4 x 3-1/2 (trim)
   Marina Mist 5-1/4 x 4
   Early Espresso 5 x 3-3/4

Ink:
   Early Espresso
   Marina Mist
   Mossy Meadow
   Pear Pizzazz

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   Dry Embossing
   Sponging

Accessories:
   Window Die
   Woodgrain Embossing Folder
   Sponge
   Adhesive

First, I die cut the window frame on the Very Vanilla panel.

I then took the Whisper White panel and laid the window frame on top of it. I lightly made pencil marks marking the corners of the panes. This way, I know what will show through the window.

Next, I sponged the sky using Marina Mist.

I then stamped the mountains and the cabin using Early Espresso. Stamping two or three times without re-inking gives the image dimension.

I then moved on to stamping the trees using Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz. I did my best to not stamp directly onto the cabin. I used the Pear Pizzazz for the ground cover as well.

This completed my view through the window. I found that my pencil marks disappeared as I stamped and sponged. Check for marks and erase if necessary.

I then took the window frame and stamped my sentiment on the bottom of it. I used Early Espresso for this.

I also trimmed back my Whisper White panel a bit on the sides. This is to make sure that none of it will appear past the window frame when it is put together.

I then dry embossed my Early Espresso panel using the Woodgrain Embossing Folder. This panel was adhered to the Marina Mist panel which was then attached to the card base.

Lastly, I adhered my window scene onto my window frame, and attached it using adhesive.
