Spooky House

BOO! Would you walk up to this house on Halloween night? Do you participate in any of the festivities during Halloween? There have been so many changes that many just close their door and shut off the lights. What do you do?

Stamps:
   Sweet Home

Paper:
   Soft Suede A-2
   Color Me Autumn DSP 5-1/4 x 4
   Halloween Nights DSP 4-1/4 x 3/4
   Gold Foil 3/4" Circle
   Whisper White Scraps, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black
   Crushed Curry
   Cajun Craze

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   Punching
   Fussy Cutting

Accessories:
   Home Sweet Home Thinlits Dies
   3/4" Circle Punch
   Paper Snips
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I stamped and die cut my ghosts and sentiment, using Archival Basic Black ink and scraps of Whisper White.

I then stamped and die cut my house. The house is Crushed Curry and the window and door are Cajun Craze.

I then adhered a strip of Halloween Nights DSP onto the bottom of a Color Me Autumn DSP panel.

I fussy cut several pumpkins from left-over pieces of DSP. I set these aside to adhere when I put the card together.

I then eyeballed where the house would be and stamped the roof on the DSP. I added the house using dimensionals.

I adhered a golden circle on the top left of the panel, and stamped several bats flying around.

I then placed the ghosts using dimensionals with the bottom of the ghosts flying out of the roof of the house.

I added the pumpkins along the seam line of the DSP on the bottom. Lastly, I adhered this panel onto the card base and added the Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

  1. Such a cute Halloween card, Sally! We welcomed Trick or Treaters for two days (our town does that) but where we live we don't get very many. That being said, we had about 3 times our normal number this year. I'm wondering if the beautiful weather was a factor.

    1. That sounds like a ton of fun! I did not have any visitors here. Most are headed only to relatives or their own street. I guess I'll have to consume the candy I bought. Luckily, it was not that much. Thank you Jeanette for sharing!
