Relax

Backgrounds created with a gel press plate are one of a kind. Even if I apply the same color of ink, the backgrounds will be different. That is the fun of gel press printing. Take a look at this one and leave your impressions behind.

Stamps:
   A Good Man

Paper:
   Crumb Cake A-2
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Tuxedo Memento Black
   Acrylic Paints

Technique:
   Powdered Gel Press Background

Accessories:
   Baking Soda
   Gel Press
   Brayer
   Acrylic Paints
   Adhesive
   Stamparatus/MISTI/Stamp-a-ma-jig

I used Lydia's Powdered Gel Press Background technique. Her You Tube video is great.

The colors of acrylic paints you use are up to you. I do suggest that you keep all of your prints. This was one that I was initially going to trash. Fortunately, over time, I changed my mind. I think it serves as a wonderful background here. What do you think?

I did use a MISTI to stamp several times and get a nice dark imprint. A Stamparatus or Stamp-a-ma-jig will serve the same purpose. Die cuts on top of this background would also look fantastic.
