Murky Thanks

What do you do with items that are gifted to you? As crafters, family members and friends love to gift us items they find throughout their shopping journeys, especially those great bargains they find on clearance. I love receiving these gifts. Sometimes there are hidden treasures. What do you think of this card?

Stamps:
   Clear Stamps? Paper Studio?

Paper:
   Crumb Cake A-2
Glossy Background Paper (Gifted to Me)
   Whisper White Scrap

Ink:
   Crumb Cake
   Basic Black

Technique:
   Dry Embossing
   Sponging

Accessories:
   Old World Paper Embossing Folder
   Crumb Cake Thick Twine
   Leftover Paper Pumpkin Tag
   Sponge
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

My daughter-in-law surprised me with several sheets of printed paper. I chose this masculine looking paper as a background for my card.

I cut six panels from the 12 x 12 sheet. I dry embossed it using the Old World Paper embossing folder to give it a bit more texture. It feels and looks great in real life.

I then took a leftover tag from my Paper Pumpkin stash and used it for my sentiment. I sponged it with a bit of Crumb Cake and attached it with dimensionals.

I then adhered the panel to my card base and called it a day.

  1. Wow what a great paper. Yes I have received a ton of items through the years and that is the tote of items I have been using up. :) I really have enjoyed playing with the items and love that I have pushed myself to use so many and gift the cards back to those that have blessed me with the treasures.
