Botanical Thoughts

I really like these large, bold leaves and plants. They not only stand out, but can be used to surround and complement an image or sentiment. What do you think?

Botanical Thoughts

Stamps:
   Botanical Layers
   Garden Meadow

Paper:
   Tangerine Tango A-2
   Mossy Meadow 5-3/8 x 4-1/8
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)

Ink:
   Mossy Meadow
   Lost Lagoon
   Daffodil Delight
   Tangerine Tango

Technique:
   Blending Brushes/Sponging

Accessories:
   Blending Brushes/Sponges
   Brights Enamel Shapes
   Adhesive

First, I used my Blending Brushes to add the background colors to a Basic White panel. I used Lost Lagoon on the top, Daffodil Delight on the center, and Tangerine Tango on the bottom. You can easily use sponges if you do not have any Blending Brushes.

I then stamped the sentiment (Garden Meadow Stamp Set) in the center of the card and then randomly stamped leaves and plants (Botanical Layers) around the sentiment as shown above. I used Mossy Meadow for all of the stamping.

Next, I adhered the panel to a Mossy Meadow matte and then onto a Tangerine Tango card front.

Lastly, I added a couple of Brights Enamel Shapes to the panel and adhered the other Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Here is another card where the stamping of the sentiment (Softly Sophisticated Stamp Set) and images was done on a vellum panel (Lovely Layers Vellum), and then adhered to the card front, using Glue Dots.
