Outdoor Christmas

 This background was made using a watercolor splash technique. Loll Thompson has a you tube video demonstrating it. You can see it HERE. I used inks from different color groups on my card and am quite pleased with my result. What do you think?

First, I splashed my background with Peekaboo Peach and Marina Mist. I did let the color dry between splashes.

Next, I randomly stamped snowflakes on the background using Marina Mist.

Then I stamped my tree using Early Espresso. I added the leaves and ornaments using various colors.

I stamped, die cut, and sponged my sentiment. I attached it using dimensionals.

Lastly, I added the tree topper using a glue dot.

I assembled the card, and added the extra Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

Perfect Flourish

 The Rock & Roll technique is a quick and easy way to add some dimension to your image. Basically, you need two colors from the same color family. One lighter than the other. Apply the lighter ink on the stamp completely, then roll the stamp on the darker ink, coloring only the edges of the stamp. Then stamp. Here is my result.

First, I stamped the flowers at random.

I then added leaves and a sentiment.

Lastly, I added pearls and adhered the panel to the card base. The other Whisper White panel is for the inside of the card.

Christmas Jump

 This is a Christmas card for that young snowboarder or someone facing a big challenge. Clearly, I have never snowboarded. So, I wonder if I should have him up in the air between slopes, or coming down a slope?

First, I stamped the snow from the Itty Bitty Backgrounds stamp set.

I then stamped the snowboarder using my Archival Basic Black ink. If I decide to make another card like this one, I will use my stamp-a-ma-jig so that I can stamp more than once. 

I then added the snow slope using a stamp from the Work of Art stamp set. 

Lastly, I stamped my sentiment and adhered the panels to the card base.

The Wishing You Well flowers are framed using the rectangular frame from the Swirly Frames stamp set. I stamped the images and then trimmed down my Whisper White panel a bit.

The background panels are tilted to give the card a bit more interest. Notice that the bit of metallic gold is stamped on all four corners of the Whisper White, Tranquil Tide, and Berry Burst panels.

I like the simplistic style of the card and the fact that it can be made quickly. You can never go wrong sending a bouquet of flowers to accompany well wishes.

Thanks for Everything

 I like to keep big, bold stamps with common sentiments within reach at all times. They do come in handy when you need a card quickly. This one takes all of five minutes to make, give or take a minute or two. I also like to keep Whisper White panels cut and ready for stamping. What do you do?

I stamped my sentiment, added a few pearls, and adhered the panel to the card base. The second Whisper White panel is for the inside of the card. 

I chose to keep the color to a minimum. You can choose to color in the sentiment completely or maybe just add some shading to the letters.

Embellishments can also be changed to your liking or left off completely for a more masculine feel to the card.

Kind Butterflies

 Add a bit of WOW to your card with a couple of 3D butterflies. The recipient is sure to be amazed and excited. Of course, today, most people are excited to receive an actual card in the mail. It truly is exciting to open a beautiful card made with such love and care. Make a card and send it out to someone. Here is a very simple card to make.

First, I stamped and die cut the sun using the Starburst Framelits Dies. 

Next, I stamped and punched out the butterflies using the two different butterfly punches. 

I then stamped the sentiment and leaves on the bottom of my card front.

Lastly, I adhered the butterflies with glue dots and the sun with adhesive.

Manly Work

 Large, bold sentiments look great by themselves on a card front. They are also perfect for those men who do not like all of the flowers or sparkle. If you use a light-colored background, the sentiment can be stamped directly onto it. I found this one with just a few printed leaves on it. I think it made the perfect background for it. Of course, you can create your own background if you like.

I think in today's world with so many people having to work together and collaborate, this sentiment is needed. One idea sparks another, and then when it is all said and done, the team should take credit. The person from the previous paragraph needs this card. LOL!

 I have many of these felt flowers in my stash. So, I decided to use them and mix up the colors as I layered them. I think they make a nice card front. I do believe this is the only way I can say I have a green thumb. What do you think?

I began by checking out the many felt flowers I had on hand. I decided that mixing the colors together looked nice. So, that is what I did. 

I then remembered an older stamp set: Simply Said. I remembered it had some dotted stems and flowers. So, I pulled it out and stamped the stems and small flowers on my Whisper White panel.

I pierced through where I wanted my flowers with brads as centers. I then attached them using the brads. I colored in the small flowers with my markers.

I stamped, punched and sponged my sentiment. 

I used the same colors of the felt flowers for the layers of my card.

Candy Cane Heart

 I enjoy eating Candy Canes every Christmas. I remember a time when the only flavor you could get was peppermint. Today, they come in many different flavors. My favorite is Cherry. I like hanging them on the tree so that they are always within reach of my sweet tooth. Tell me about your favorite Christmas treat.

I stamped and die cut two candy canes and then reversed one to form a heart on my card front. I used glue dots to hold the candy canes together.

I then stamped and die cut the Merry Christmas banner. I attached it using dimensionals.

I added snowflakes and sequins with adhesive.

The x's in the four corners were added with a white gel pen to fulfill an alphabet challenge. These can easily be omitted. 

Lastly, I adhered the Chocolate Chip panel to the Rose Red card base.
