Love OSW#1

Since I am one that does not like to throw away anything, I used the negative space I created when I cut out three squares to use on a card. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Love What You Do

Paper:
   Very Vanilla A-2, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)
Share What You Love DSP 5-1/2 x 4 (cut three 1-1/2" squares on right side)
   Vellum 1-5/8 " Sq.

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento
   Rich Razzleberry

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   Stamp-Off

Accessories:
   Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies
Share What You Love Artisan Pearls
   Glue Dots
   Adhesive

First, I cut three squares on the right side of the designer series panel (DSP). I spaced them out as evenly as possible.

Then I laid the panel on top of the Very Vanilla card front and lightly penciled the corners of each square.

I then removed the DSP and stamped my flowers within each square. In order to get a lighter shade of Rich Razzleberry, I simply stamped twice before re-inking.

I erased the pencil marks on the card front and adhered the DSP with adhesive.

I stamped my sentiment directly onto the vellum square and let it dry. I attached it using glue dots. I added a few Artisan Pearls to the bottom corner.

Lastly, I adhered the other Very Vanilla panel to the inside of the card.

This is the template I used:

The pink number refers to the card number. As you can see, tomorrow I will show what I did with the three squares.

Pink Ladybugs

Just stamp your sentiment on the Green Galore piece and add a few embellishments to finish off this beauty. I do like to have a few simple cards in my box that can be finished for a specific purpose at any time. Still, they are complete and can be sent as is. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Pick a Petal

Paper:
   Basic Black A-2, 5-1/4 x 1-3/4, Scraps
   Pink Passion 5-1/4 x 4
   Green Galore 5-1/4 x 1-1/2
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside), Scraps

Ink:
   Pink Passion

Technique:
   Dry Embossing
   Punching

Accessories:
   Embossing Folder (Dots/Circles)
   1-1/4" Circle Punch
   3/4" Circle Punch
   1/8" Circle Punch
   Paper Snips
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I dry embossed the Pink Passion panel. I used a dots embossing folder. You can use any embossing folder you have on hand.

Next, I punched the circles to create my ladybug. The wings were stamped using Pink Passion and then fussy cut. The stamp is from Pick a Petal stamp set.

I then adhered the strip of Green Galore onto the strip of Basic Black and then onto the Pink Passion embossed background. This panel was then adhered to the Basic Black card base.

I put my ladybug pieces together. I cut the bottom of the 3/4" circle punch to form the head. I drew the antennae to the 1/8" circles.

Lastly, I adhered the other Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

Happy Birthday Butterfly

I like this color combination and the elegance that the vellum brings to the card front. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Butterfly Basics

Paper:
   Blackberry Bliss A-2, 2-1/2 x 3-1/2
   Sahara Sand 5-1/4 x 4 (2)
   Vellum 1-1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento
   Mossy Meadow
   Blackberry Bliss

Technique:
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Butterfly Thinlits Dies
   Basic Pearl Jewels
   VersaMark
   Vellum Tape
   Glue Dots
   Adhesive

First, I stamped my background images on the panel of Sahara Sand. The fern is stamped with Mossy Meadow. The postmark stamp used Blackberry Bliss. The beehive sections are stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento.

Next, I stamped my sentiment directly onto the vellum. I let it sit to dry. It was attached using vellum tape.

I then die cut my Blackberry Bliss butterfly. I adhered it using glue dots. I added Pearls to the center. Rhinestones could be substituted as well.

This Sahara Sand panel was then adhered to the Blackberry Bliss card front.

The other Sahara Sand panel was adhered to the inside of the card. I stamped a fern using VersaMark to the center of the panel. It created a lovely watermark. You may choose to change this panel to a Basic White panel if you like.

The sentiment on the vellum can also be switched to whatever you desire.

Life's Journey

Masculine cards are the most challenging cards to create and find. So many sentiments, greetings, and thoughts are conveyed using images of flowers, baskets, birds, balloons, and other images considered to be "feminine," or not quite manly. So, although I have seen many women driving motorcycles, here is a card for that manly, macho motorcycle fan in your life.

Stamps:
   One Wild Ride

Paper:
   Basic Black 4-1/4 x 8-1/2
   Basic White 3 x 8
   Delicate Dots DSP 2-3/4 x 3-3/4 (2), 4 x 5-1/4
   Certainly Celery DSP 2-3/4 x 4

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black

Technique:
   Joy Fold Card

Accessories:
   Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies
   Best Badge Punch
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

I followed the tutorial found at Split Coast Stampers: Joy Fold Card. I substituted my own supplies, but followed their instructions.

The front of the card shows a motorcycle with a banner that reads: BORN TO RIDE.

When you lift the motorcycle (opens from left to right), it reveals a badge: LIFE'S A JOURNEY ENJOY THE RIDE.

When you lift the badge panel (opens from right to left) it reads:
HOPE TODAY IS ONE WILD RIDE
    BIRTHDAY WISHES TO
    THE LEADER OF THE PACK!
    ROUTE US 66

Change up the images and sentiments with what you have on hand. The name of the technique says it all: JOY fold card.

Approaching Seashells

When it comes to the bottom of the ocean you can do just about anything. Here is a seashell surrounded by seagrasses. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Friends are like Seashells
   Approaching Perfection

Paper:
   So Saffron A-2
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)

Ink:
   Bermuda Bay
   Flirty Flamingo
   So Saffron

Technique:
   2-Step Stamping

Accessories:
   Seaside Shells Stickers
   Bright's Enamel Shapes
   Adhesive

First, I stamped my seashell using Flirty Flamingo and filled it with So Saffron.

I then stamped seagrasses in Bermuda Bay and Flirty Flamingo.

I stamped the sand dollar with So Saffron.

Using Bermuda Bay ink, I stamped the sentiment on the top right corner.

I then filled the ocean floor with sand using So Saffron.

I added a sticker on the bottom of the sentiment and added some enamel shapes.

Lastly, I adhered the Basic White panel to the card base. The other Basic White panel was adhered to the inside of the card.

Here is another card using a different sticker.

Birthday Chick

I like the effect that the chicken wire has on the background. It seems to add even more depth to the dimension. I did use the fine tip glue pen to adhere it to the Basic White cardstock. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Hey Birthday Chick

Paper:
   Pumpkin Pie A-2
   Bermuda Bay 5-3/8 x 4-1/8, Scraps
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (2), Scraps

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Markers:
   Pumpkin Pie
   Bermuda Bay
   Smoky Slate

Technique:
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Birthday Chick Dies
   Chicken Wire Elements
   Glue Dots
   Dimensionals
   Fine Tip Glue Pen
   Adhesive

First, I stamped, colored and die cut my images from the "Hey Birthday Chick" stamp set. I also die cut my sentiment.

I then adhered a chicken wire element to one of the Basic White panels. I used my fine tip glue pen to adhere it.

Next, I adhered this panel to the Bermuda Bay panel and then onto my card front.

Then I arranged my images and sentiment onto the front of the card. Once I had them all in place, I attached them using dimensionals. The sentiment was attached using glue dots.

Lastly, I adhered the other Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Happy Birthday Circles

Some stamps can be classified as timeless images. Circle Circus falls under that category. This stamp set features circles, circles and circles. They can be the focus of attention, or they can be used as a background. Either way, they fit under every category of sentiments imaginable.

Stamps:
   Circle Circus
   Perfect Punches

Paper:
   Melon Mambo A-2
   Chocolate Chip 4-1/4 x 3
   Basic White 4 x 2-3/4, 5-1/4 x 4, Scrap

Ink:
   Melon Mambo
   Old Olive
   Hello Honey
   Chocolate Chip

Technique:
   Sponging
   Punching

Accessories:
   Modern Label Punch
   Sponge
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

I actually began this card with the smaller Basic White panel. It was a left-over piece that I wanted to use. So, I grabbed my Circle Circus stamp set and began stamping various circles at random using different colors.

I then decided to matte this with a Chocolate Chip panel. I adhered it using regular adhesive.

I then grabbed a scrap of Basic White and stamped my sentiment on it. Using the Modern Label Punch, I punched it out and sponged it with Melon Mambo ink. I attached it using dimensionals.

I centered this panel to the Melon Mambo card front, and adhered the other Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Bluebird

This image was gifted to me by a fellow stamper, so I do not have any information on it. Still, I like my layout and intend to use it on other cards with a different image, front and center. I'm thinking of other current birds or bees flying around flowers. Any suggestions?

Stamps:
   Teeny Tiny Wishes
   (Gifted Stamped Image)

Paper:
   Lost Lagoon A-2
   Wildflower Fields DSP 5-1/4 x 4
   Certainly Celery DSP 3 x 3-1/2
   Whisper White 2-3/4 x 3-1/4, 5-1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento
   Various Copic Markers

Technique:
   Coloring

Accessories:
   Clear Wink of Stella
   Adhesive

First, I colored my image using my Copic Markers. You can use any medium that you have on hand to color an image.

Next, I chose some background designer series paper. I decided on the Wildflower Fields DSP.

I then chose two of the colors on the DSP to use as a card base and as a matte for my image.

I tilted the Certainly Celery DSP to add some interest to the card.

Lastly, I brushed the wings on the hummingbird with some clear Wink of Stella, and adhered the Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

Here is a brighter look at the card:
