2-Step Inspiration

I do enjoy 2-step stamping. It cuts my coloring time considerably. Luckily, not all stamp sets are offered this way, so my play time remains intact. What about you? Do you have a preference? Tell me about it.

Ink:

   Melon Mambo

   Garden Green

   Tuxedo Black Memento

Technique:

   2-Step Stamping

   Brushed Brass Butterflies

First, I adhered one of the Artistry Blooms DSP strips to the top of a Basic White panel.

I then stamped the images and sentiment, using Tuxedo Black Memento = Step 1.

Next, I added color to the images = Step 2. I used Melon Mambo on the flowers and Garden Green on the leaves.

I then adhered the other Artistry Blooms DSP to the bottom of the Basic White panel.

Next, I adhered a Basic Black matte to the panel and then adhered it to the Melon Mambo card front.

Lastly, I added a couple of Brushed Brass Butterflies, a polished dot to the rose, and adhered the other Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Prayer Circle

Blending Brushes have taken the place of sponges in card making. I keep going back and forth between these tools. I think sometimes you just need to use a sponge. Other times, the blending brush is the tool that is best. What do you use? Thoughts?

   Botanical Layers

Paper:

   Tangerine Tango A-2

   Mossy Meadow 5-3/8 x 4-1/8

   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)

   Lovely Layers Vellum 3-3/4 x 5

Ink:

   Mossy Meadow

   Lost Lagoon

   Daffodil Delight

   Tangerine Tango

Technique:

   Blending Brushes/Sponges

   Stamping on Vellum

Accessories:

   Glue Dots

   Adhesive

First, I added color to a Basic White panel, using blending brushes. I applied Lost Lagoon to the top of the panel, Daffodil Delight to the middle, and Tangerine Tango to the bottom.

I then took a vellum sheet with circles in the middle from the Lovely Layers Vellum pack, and stamped the sentiment (Hope & Prayer) in the center with the two small flower flourishes. I stamped the birds in flight on the top (Golden Afternoon), and the larger leaves on the bottom (Botanical Layers). I used Mossy Meadow for all of the stamping. I then set it aside for a minute or so to dry.

Next, I added glue dots on the backside of the vellum sheet. I added one glue dot on each corner. I adhered this sheet to the colored background panel.

I then adhered these to a Basic Black matte, and then onto the Tangerine Tango card front.

Lastly, I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Refuge

Using vellum is easy. Still, you must remember to allow the ink to dry, unless you are going for a smudged look. Thoughts?

Next, I stamped the sentiment in the center of the circle on a vellum panel, using Mossy Meadow. I added a dove on the top right corner and leaves on the other three corners. I set it aside for a minute to make sure the ink dried.

I then added a glue dot on the back side of each corner on the vellum panel and adhered it to the colored panel.

Next, I adhered the panel to a Mossy Meadow matte and then onto the Tangerine Tango card front.

Lastly, I added a Brights Enamel Shape to the sentiment and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Every Time

First, I stamped the cross and the sentiment on scraps of Basic White, using Rich Razzleberry ink.

I then die cut them both. I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut the Stitched Oval and the Something Fancy Dies to cut the sentiment and its Rich Razzleberry matte.

Next, I adhered the DSP panel onto a Basic Black matte and then onto the Rich Razzleberry card front.

I then adhered the stitched oval with a cross on the top of the card, and the sentiment was centered on the bottom half of the card.

Lastly, I added a few pearls and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Lone Wolf

I like the movement on this wolf. I decided to just stamp it and not add any color. I am also wondering if it is a wolf or a fox. Do you know? Let me know in the comments if you do know and how you can tell, please. What do you think of the card?

First, I used some bubble wrap to stamp. I gently tapped the bubble wrap with an ink pad and then stamped on a Basic White panel. I used both Wild Wheat and Copper Clay.

I then cut the panel on a diagonal and adhered it to the top left corner of a Basic White panel, as shown above.

Next, I stamped the wolf, using Copper Clay ink.

I then adhered the panel to a Basic Black matte, and then onto a Wild Wheat card front.

Lastly, I added a Star Designer Element and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Next, I adhered the panel to a Mossy Meadow matte, and then onto the Peach Parfait card front.

Lastly, I added a few Brights Enamel Shapes and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

First, I stamped and die cut the sentiment, using Shaded Spruce ink, Hope & Prayer stamp set, and Perennial Postage dies.

I then adhered the three strips of DSP onto the Highland Heather panel. You want to try and space the strips as evenly as possible.

Next, I adhered the Highland Heather panel to a Shaded Spruce matte and then onto the Lost Lagoon card front.

I then adhered the sentiment using liquid adhesive.

Next, I die cut the Shaded Spruce leafy branch, using the Painted Lavender dies, and adhered it onto the card front as shown above. 

Lastly, I added a couple of Purple Fine Shimmer Gems and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

First, I stamped the sentiment directly onto the DSP panel, using Shaded Spruce ink.

I then adhered the DSP panel onto a Basic Black matte, and then onto the Lost Lagoon card front. 

Next, I added color to one of the large Paper Butterflies, using a sponge dauber. I used Fresh Freesia on the outer edges of the wings, followed by Highland Heather, and finally Lost Lagoon for the body.

I then adhered the butterfly to the foliage on the DSP, using liquid adhesive.

Lastly, I added a few gems and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.
