Birch Trees

I really like the look and feel of an embossed image with a colored background. This one in particular also fits the Birthday and Masculine categories.

Stamps:
   White Christmas
   Bring on the Cake

Paper:
   Whisper White A-2, 5 1/4 x 4, 3/4 x 4

Ink:
   Lost Lagoon
   Archival Basic Black
   Sahara Sand
Markers:
   Watermelon Mambo
   Early Espresso
   Basic Black

Technique:
   Dry Embossing
   Sponging

Accessories:
Woodland Textured Embossing Folder, Sponge Dauber, Sponge, Adhesive, Dimensionals

So, how do you get the color behind the embossed image?

First, open the embossing folder.

Second, rub your desired ink pad onto the smooth side of the folder.

Third, carefully place your 5 1/4 x 4 Whisper White cardstock onto the folder. *Do NOT move the paper, or you will smear the ink.

Fourth, close the folder. *Again, do NOT move the paper.

Fifth, run it through the Big Shot.

The ink transferred onto the background of the paper and the embossed image appears raised and white.

I then stamped the cardinals and colored them in with my Watermelon Wonder marker. I also colored in the indentations of the birch trees with my Early Espresso marker.

I used my sponge dauber to lightly sponge the birch trees with Sahara Sand.

Lastly, I created a Happy Birthday tag, sponged it, and adhered it with dimensionals.

Thank you so much for stopping by here and taking a peek. I appreciate your time and feedback.
