Get Well Quilt

What do you do with all of your leftover patterned paper or DSP? One idea is to cut 3/4" squares and piece them together to form a quilt pattern on a card. Here is one I made:

Stamps: 

   Teeny Tiny Wishes

Paper:

   Island Indigo A-2, 3/4" Squares (4)

   Daffodil Delight 3/4" Squares (5)

   Lost Lagoon 4" Square

   All ABloom DSP 3/4" Squares using 2 different patterns: 8 squares from one, and 4 squares from another

   Whisper White 3 3/4" Square

Ink:

   Archival Basic Black

Techniques:

   Quilt Pattern Card

Accessories:

   Daffodil Delight Ribbon 4 1/4", Petal-A-Plenty Embossing Folder, Adhesive

As noted above all quilt pieces are 3/4" squares. 8 of the squares are cut in half: 4 of the Daffodil Delight and 4 of the Lost Lagoon. These form the ends of the ribbon pattern.

The quilt pattern is adhered to the Whisper White 3 3/4" Square. Keep all squares close together and as straight as possible. 

When your quilt is put together, dry emboss it with your favorite embossing folder. I used Petal-A-Plenty. It adds a very nice texture to your card and looks more like a quilt.

You then adhere this piece to the 4" Lost Lagoon Square. This is then adhered to the Island Indigo card base.

I stamped my sentiment directly onto my Daffodil Delight ribbon and then adhered it to my card base. You may choose to add the sentiment differently. 

The card is not difficult to make, but it does require patience and precision.
