The Beach

An evening walk along the shoreline, listening to the waves and watching the sunset is one of the most relaxing activities you can do during the hot humid summer nights. This is the thought that popped into my brain when I was challenged to depict a beach scene on a card front. Unfortunately, I do not always have the stamps to match the image in my head. So, here is the closest to it.

Stamps:
   High Tide
   Sweetly Swirled

Paper:
   Pool Party A-2
   Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4
   Crumb Cake 5 1/4 x 2

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento
   Crumb Cake
   Daffodil Delight
   Delightful Dijon
   Pool Party

Technique:
   Sponging
   Tearing

Accessories:
   Sponge
   Adhesive

The Crumb Cake card stock edge is torn toward you to create that rough edge. The grass/weeds are stamped with Delightful Dijon, and the sky is sponged with Daffodil Delight. I used Pool Party for the water and Black Memento for the birds and sentiment. The Crumb Cake is stamped on the Crumb Cake card stock to create the rough look of sand.

Thank you so much for stopping by here and taking a peek. I appreciate your comments and your time. Contact me for any questions and feel free to SHOP NOW for current Stampin' Up! products.

HAPPY STAMPING!

  1. Sally, you forgot something in that gorgeous beach scene - you forgot to put me there. ;) I love the peacefulness and can almost hear the waves.

    1. LOL! Thank you, Jeanette. I too enjoy the peacefulness and the calmness that accompanies the feeling of the sand underneath your toes.
