Genie Bag

Make your own gift bag to say thank you to that special lady. Mother's Day is right around the corner, but this can be given to anyone. It stands at 4-1/4" and is as wide as a lunch bag.

Stamps:
   Oh My Goodies

Paper:
   Tangerine Tango 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 (2)
   Whisper White Scraps
   Motley Monsters DSP Scraps

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black
   Tempting Turquoise

Technique:
   Genie Bag
   Die Cutting
   Scoring
   Sponging

Accessories:
   Deco Labels Collection Dies
   Lunch Bag 4" in height
   Gold Glitter Tape
   Scoring Tools
   Sponge
   Ribbon 9"
   Dimensionals
   Double Sided Tape
   Glue Dots
   Adhesive

I cut 5/8" off of each side at a diagonal. The wider width is at the bottom. This gives it the look of a purse.

I then took each panel and scored it diagonally at 1/2" intervals in both directions. This gives the bag a faux tile look and some texture.

I sponged each panel with Tempting Turquoise.

I created the label and sponged it with Tempting Turquoise. I glued it to the designer series paper. It is attached to the bag with dimensionals.

I added a strip of gold glitter tape and then attached the label on top of it.

I used glue dots to attach the ribbon to the bag.

The white lunch bag was cut at 4" and adhered to the two Tangerine Tango panels. I used double sided tape to make sure it was strong enough to hold.

Then you fill it with some goodies and gift it.

You can find a tutorial for a similar bag HERE

I added my own twist, but you can get the idea.

Thank you for stopping by here and taking a peek. Let me know if you have any questions and don't forget to let me know what you think.

HAPPY STAMPING!
