Medallion Butterflies

This card is more for the avid stamper. There are several layers and techniques. Of course, anyone can simplify it to a couple of stamps and paper only. Personally, I like the extras on this card. Are you a simple, casual, or avid stamper?

Stamps:
   Medallion
   Just Believe

Paper:
   Very Vanilla A-2, 4 x 3-3/4 (Cut @ 1" on both sides after stamping), 3/4 x 4
   Cherry Cobbler 5-1/4 x 4, Scraps
   Crumb Cake 1-1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Cherry Cobbler
   Crumb Cake

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   Dry Embossing
   Punching

Accessories:
   Eyelet Border Punch
   Itty Bitty Shapes
   Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder
   Beautiful Wings Embossilits
   Basic Pearl Jewels
   Basic Rhinestone Jewels
   Glue Dots
   Adhesive

I began with my Very Vanilla panel and stamped the background Medallion using Crumb Cake.

I then stamped the silhouettes using Cherry Cobbler. These are from the Just Believe Stamp Set.

Then I cut 1" from the left side and 1" from the right side. The center piece measures 2". These were then adhered to the Cherry Cobbler panel, leaving a tiny space between the panels.

I stamped my sentiment on the Very Vanilla strip and then dry embossed it using the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder.

I took the Crumb Cake strip and punched it with my Eyelet Border Punch. It cuts a small strip off the bottom. This is glued to the bottom of the Very Vanilla strip to make it seem as if the Crumb Cake panel is larger than it really is. So, the Very Vanilla strip is adhered to the Crumb Cake Eyelet Border and the thin strip of Crumb Cake. This is then adhered to the bottom of the Cherry Cobbler panel.

I then ran the Beautiful Wings Embossilits through the die cut & embossing machine. I added these using glue dots.

I punched out three tiny flowers using the Itty Bitty Shapes punch and adhered them to the Very Vanilla strip.

Lastly, I adhered the Cherry Cobbler panel to my Very Vanilla card base and added rhinestones here and there. You may choose to add pearls instead.
