Hydrangea Acetate

One of my favorite colors is PURPLE! So, when I saw this new acetate in Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather, I just had to have it. I love how the acetate glistens. Its official name is Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Designer Acetate. I used only a small piece of it on this card to give you a little taste. What do you think?

Hydrangea Acetate

I like the deep shade of purple in this photo. I also left it plain. No accessory except for the acetate, and it falls under the paper category.

Of course the shade of the acetate does not change, but the light reflecting from it does, thus giving you a different tint in a photo. Take a look at this one with a few pearls under the sentiment.

Hydrangea Acetate Too

Which one do you prefer? With or without pearls? Note that it is the same card. I added pearls and then took a photo. Same acetate, but from a different angle.

Stamps:
   Hydrangea Haven

Paper:
   Seaside Spray A-2
   Basic Black 4-1/8 x 5-3/8
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)
Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Designer Acetate 1-1/2 x 4

Ink:
   Seaside Spray
   Rococo Rose
   Mossy Meadow
   Old Olive
   Misty Moonlight
   Gorgeous Grape
   Highland Heather

Technique:
   Blending Brush

Accessories:
   Fast Fuse
   Adhesive
   Stamparatus
   Pastel Pearls

First, I stamped my hydrangea petals using Misty Moonlight.

I then stamped the outline of the stem and leaves using Mossy Meadow.

Next, I filled in the leaves and stem with Old Olive, and the hydrangea with Rococo Rose.

It was looking great, but the background was too white and bright. So, I grabbed my blending brush and began with Seaside Spray on the top of the card.

I then blended in Rococo Rose and Highland Heather.

I adhered a strip of Gorgeous Grape acetate to the bottom of the card using my fast fuse. I also stamped my sentiment using Gorgeous Grape.

I adhered the panel onto a Basic Black panel and then onto the Seaside Spray card base. The other Whisper White panel was adhered to the inside of the card.

Lastly, I added three pastel pearls below the sentiment.
