Wet Butterfly

Add some color to your day with a big bold butterfly. I reverted to my childhood and used watercolor crayons to color this one. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Beautiful Day

Paper:
   Bordering Blue A-2
   Basic Black 5-3/8 x 4-1/8
   Watercolor 5-1/4 x 4
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Jet Black StazOn
   Watercolor Crayons

Technique:
   Watercolor

Accessories:
   Aqua Painter/Water Painter
   Basic Pearl Jewels
   Adhesive

First, I stamped my image, using Jet Black StazOn ink. I let it sit for a few minutes while I gathered my supplies. I wanted to make sure it was really dry before I began to add water.

I then colored the image using various watercolor crayons. Using my Aqua Painter, I added water to the watercolor crayons on the image. I did keep a paper towel handy in case I added too much water.

I watercolored the background in light blue.

Next, I stamped the sentiment and attached the watercolor panel onto a Basic Black matte, and then onto the Bordering Blue card front.

Lastly, I added pearls as the body of the butterfly and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.
