Shaving Celebration

I think I went overboard with the colors on this one. I had a difficult time trying to get the images and sentiment to pop against this background. What do you think?

I followed the tutorial found at SCS for the Shaving Cream Technique. It is fun and easy. Make sure to have more than one panel for creating. I was able to get two.

I did use a black marker to go over my sentiment and images. I then added the Clear Wink of Stella.

First, I adhered the Rose Red Ribbon across the center of the DSP panel. I used glue dots to hold it in place on the front of the card and a strong adhesive on the back of the panel.

I then adhered the DSP onto a Basic Black matte and then onto the Cameo Coral card front.

Next, I stamped and die cut the sentiment, using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Rose Red ink.

I added a rhinestone brad to the top and bottom of the oval and attached it to the center of the card front, using dimensionals.

Lastly, I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Tempting

I let the paper do all of the work for me. I did decide to add a bit of ribbon, but it is not necessary. What do you think?

First, I adhered the Sweet Soiree DSP panel onto the Basic Black matte.

I then wrapped the ribbon around the panel and tied it into a bow. You can place it anywhere on the card. I chose the top.

Next, I adhered the panel onto the Tempting Turquoise card front.

Lastly, I added a few candy dots to the card front and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Sweet Sugarplum Birthday

Dress up your card with glimmer die cuts! This card is sure to get a WOW! from the recipient. What do you think?

First, I die cut the sentiment, using the Happy Birthday Thinlits. Note: You can use an adhesive sheet for a backing on the glimmer paper, making it easier to adhere to the card front. I chose to use liquid adhesive on mine.

I then punched a couple of butterflies from some glimmer scraps that were in my pack.

Next, I adhered the Bella Rose DSP onto a Basic Black matte, and then onto the Pink Pirouette card front.

I then adhered the die cut sentiment and the butterflies. I used glue dots on the butterflies.

Lastly, I added a couple of pearls to the butterflies and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Chic Butterfly

This Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper made a beautiful background for my sentiment. Thoughts?

First, I stamped (Tuxedo Black Memento Ink), punched (Lovely Labels Pick a Punch), and sponged (Highland Heather Ink) the sentiment.

I then adhered the Botanical Butterfly DSP panel onto a Basic Black Matte, and then onto the Grapefruit Grove card front.

Next, I attached the sentiment, using dimensionals.

Lastly, I added a couple of sequins to the sentiment and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Floral Birthday

There are so many ways to apply chalks to your cards. I like to use a dry watercolor brush to apply the chalk and then moisten it with a blender pen to enrich the color. Thoughts?

   Stampin' Pastels (Personal Preference)

Technique:

   CAS

   Blender Pen

   Watercolor Brush

   Clear Wink of Stella Brush

   Basic Rhinestone Jewels

   Adhesive

First, I stamped my sentiment in the center of the panel, using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

I then stamped the florals on each corner, using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

Next, I applied the chalks (Pink, Yellow, Green) to the images.

I then went over them with a Blender Pen to bring out the color. Make sure to clean the brush on a paper towel between colors.

Next, I adhered the Basic White panel to a Basic Black matte and then onto the Pixie Pink card front.

I then I added a bit of glitter to the center of each flower, using the Clear Wink of Stella brush. 

Lastly, I added a few rhinestones and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Quiet Corner

I was challenged to create a corner cluster card, meaning things should be placed in only one corner. What do you think? It did make an interesting layout. Thoughts?

First, I stamped the bouquet in the bottom left corner of a Basic White panel, using Always Artichoke ink and the Corner Bouquet stamp set.

I then stamped the sentiment, using the Quiet Meadow stamp set and Always Artichoke ink.

Next, I adhered the panel onto the Always Artichoke card front.

Lastly, I added a couple of Butterfly Gems and adhered the other Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Timeworn Delight

Sometimes I am able to create a card with scraps that are left-over from other projects. This card was created, using scraps on my table. No stamping was required on this one. Thoughts?

   Delightful Floral DSP 2-1/4 x 1-5/8, 1-3/4 x 1-5/8

   Berry Burst 3-3/4 x 2-1/4, 3-3/4 x 1-3/4

   None

Technique:

   Dry Embossing

Accessories:

   Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder

   Butterfly Gems

   2022-2024 In-Color Pearls

   Adhesive

First, I dry embossed the Berry Burst pieces, using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.

I then adhered the Berry Burst pieces onto the Basic Black panel, leaving a Basic Black gap in the middle of the two pieces.

Next, I adhered this panel onto the Parakeet Party card front.

I then adhered the DSP pieces onto the card front, covering the Basic Black gap in between the Berry Burst pieces. 

Lastly, I added a couple of Butterfly Gems, a Pearl, and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

I chose to omit a sentiment or greeting, making this an all occasions card. Note: this layout is perfect for odd-sized pieces of DSP.

Perfect Birthday

I came across this Irresistibly Floral DSP in a pile of discontinued paper. I remembered what fun I had creating with it. So, here is a card I made. What do you think?

   Irresistibly Floral DSP 5-1/4 x 4

   Die Cutting

   Watercolor

   Emboss Resist

First, I watercolored my Irresistibly Floral DSP, using Perfect Plum and a watercolor painter. I let it sit for a minute to dry. I then wiped it down with a paper towel to make sure the Emboss Resist florals would shine through.

I then colored the back of the White Glitter Ribbon with a Pale Plum marker.

Next, I added a glue dot in the center of the ribbon to hold it in place on the DSP. I wrapped the ribbon around to the back and adhered it with some glue dots.

I then added the DSP panel onto the Perfect Plum card front.

Next, I stamped and die cut the sentiment and the Perfect Plum frame, using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.

I adhered the Basic White sentiment to the Perfect Plum frame and attached them to the center of the card front, using dimensionals.

Lastly, I added a few Candy Dots (Perfect Plum), and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Here is a blast into the past. The only thing current on this clean and simple card is the Basic White panel found on the inside of the card, the Basic Black matte used behind the DSP, and the glue that holds it all together. Thoughts?

I then stamped the strip of DSP with the sentiment and added it to the DSP panel, using two eyelets.

Next, I added the panel to the Rose Red card front.

Lastly, I added a few Rose Red Candy Dots to the card front and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.
