Waving

Do you like to swim in the ocean or dip into the water at the beach? To tell you the truth, I am not a fan. I love the sound of the waves, and the light breeze, but when it comes to strong winds, blazing sun, and sharing the water with WHAT? Still, I enjoy making cards with this stamp and die combo. What do you think?

First, I die cut the wave, using the Waves dies and the Pacific Point panel.

I then adhered the die cut to the front of the DSP panel.

Next, I adhered this panel to the bottom of the Night of Navy card front.

I then stamped the sentiment on a scrap of Basic White.

Next, I die cut the sentiment, along with a couple of clouds.

I then adhered the sentiment and clouds, using dimensionals.

Lastly, I added a couple of jewels and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Fresh Berries

The Designer Series Paper is the star of this card. Since it is two-sided, creating it was a breeze. All I had to do was trim two inches off the bottom and flip it over. What do you think?

First, I cut 2" off the bottom of the DSP panel and flipped it over. 

I adhered the pieces to a Basic White panel.

Next, I added some Berry Burst Metallic-Edge Ribbon to cover the seam. I adhered the ends of the ribbon to the back of the panel with some strong adhesive.

I then adhered the panel to the Berry Burst card front.

Next, I stamped and punched the sentiment, using the Pretty Label Punch.

Lastly, I attached the sentiment, using dimensionals and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Balmy Blue Florets

 I love having beautiful paper to adorn a card front. Plus, with such an array of colors, you can choose any one of them to accent. Thoughts?

First, I adhered the DSP panel onto the Basic White matte, and then onto the Balmy Blue card front.

I then added a few Iridescent Rhinestones and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

The only way to make this any easier for you would be for someone else to cut your DSP and cardstock for you. Come on, you can do it!

Birthday Party

I created a shadow effect on the sentiment to give it the attention it deserves. The Picture Perfect Designer Series Paper was so beautiful and perfect that I felt the sentiment needed a bit of a push to be noticed. What do you think?

First, I adhered the Picture Perfect Party DSP to a Basic Black matte and then onto the Berry Burst card front.

I then die cut the sentiment in both Basic Black and Lemon Lime Twist.

Next, I adhered the Lemon Lime Twist sentiment onto the Basic Black sentiment. I off-set it just a tad to create a shadow.

I then adhered the sentiment to the card front.

Lastly, I added a few sequins and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Brushed Florals

Watercolor crystals will always yield surprising results. Sometimes, I am a bit disappointed, especially if some of the colors run together to create a muddy presence. Still, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Thoughts?

As you can see, I went a bit overboard in creating these cards. It is so easy and fun to play with watercolor crystals. I used the Brusho Crystal Colours on the first card and the Pigment Watercolor Sprinkles on the other two cards.

First, I sprinkled the DSP panel with some watercolor crystals or sprinkles.

I then spritzed the panel with water, and let the crystals or sprinkles do their thing. I did keep a paper towel close by to dab here and there. The muddy look happens when too many of the colors run together. Oops.

I let the panels dry for a bit.

Next, I stamped the sentiments on scraps of matching cardstock.

I punched them out, using the Washi Label Punch. 

Next, I adhered the dried panels onto a Basic Black matte and then onto a matching card front.

I then adhered a bit of Gold Glitter Ribbon to the card front and attached the sentiment, using dimensionals.

Lastly, I added some Enamel Shapes and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Berry Lemon

If you don't want to get ink on a portion of your card, then cover it up with paper. That is exactly what I did to stamp each side of my card front. Read on for the details. Thoughts?

First, I covered the right side of the Basic White panel with paper. Basically, I folded over the sheet of paper that I always have underneath my working project to protect my surface. I used some painter's tape to secure it. You decide if you want the panels to be equal in width or not. 

I then taped down a stencil to the right side of the card. I placed it over the entire card and secured it with Painter's tape. I did check to make sure it was as straight as possible. 

Next, I brushed on some Lemon Lolly over the entire left side and then some.

Once it was covered in ink, I gently removed the stencil and washed it under some running water and dried it. Some folks just like to use a wipe to clean it. Just make sure you do not forget, or you might ruin your next project...

Now, I covered the left side with paper. This technique is called masking. Basically, you are covering a portion of your card to protect it from everything. Again, I used Painter's Tape to secure the paper (mask).

First, I stamped the sentiment on the top of the section. 

I then randomly stamped the outline of the flower to cover the panel. 

Next, I added step 2. I stamped the inside color of the flower. This stamp does not align perfectly with the stamp, but that is the way it is supposed to be. I think it looks great.

I then adhered the panel onto the Berry Burst card front.

Lastly, I added a few solid gems and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

First, I stamped, punched, and sponged my sentiment. 

I then wrapped 6" of the Stitched Rose Red Ribbon around the lower part of the DSP panel. I used glue dots to adhere the ribbon. I found that the glue dots help to keep the ribbon in place, and they are less messy than liquid adhesive. Use any adhesive you have on hand or your favorite. 

Next, I adhered the DSP panel onto the Rose Red card front.

I then attached the sentiment to the upper part of the card front, using dimensionals.

Next, I added 3 gold flowers on the ribbon, using dimensionals. I punched these, using the Itty Bitty Punch Pack. Every time I have a scrap of gold paper, I punch or die cut small things like stars, hearts, crosses, and flowers to use whenever I choose. I separate them into small plastic bags and keep them readily available with my other embellishments. I add a sticker with the die cut or punch I used, so I can include it in the write-up.

I then adhered a cross between the sentiment and the ribbon.

Lastly, I added a few pearls and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

 I really like the transparency of these florals. The Translucent Florals all appear in 3-D. Thoughts?

First, I cut the DSP panel into 1" strips, keeping them in order to piece them together, as shown above.

I then laid them out on the card front to figure out the spacing between each strip and to make sure I had them in order. 

Next, I adhered them in place. The top and bottom strips should be even with the card front.

I then stamped the floral images on the Basic White panel, using the inks listed above.

Next, I adhered the stamped panel onto the center of the card front.

Lastly, I added a couple of Iridescent Rhinestones and adhered the Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

I then took the smaller panel of Mossy Meadow and rounded the corners, using the Corner Rounder Punch.

Next, I used the Curvy Corner Trio Punch on each of the corners of the Petal Promenade DSP panel.

I then stamped the sentiment and dove within the wreath, using Mossy Meadow ink.

Next, I adhered the DSP panel onto the Mossy Meadow panel, and then onto the card front.

Lastly, I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.
