Seasonal Trees

Two wonderful stamp sets from the annual catalog were used to make this card.

Stamps:
   Winter Woods
   Waterfront

Paper:
   Kraft A-2
   Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black
   Tip Top Taupe
Markers:
   Mint Macaron
   Mossy Meadow
   Call It Clover
   Garden Green
   Early Espresso

Technique:
   Stamp Coloring

Accessories:
   Stamparatus or MISTI

I colored the stamp with markers and then stamped the image on the Whisper White cardstock. Using the stamparatus or MISTI allows you to add more color in the exact same place. The discontinued stamp-a-ma-jig did the same thing. It was just not as accurate.

The ground was created by stamping twice before re-inking.

The Kraft cardstock is no longer current, but the Crumb Cake is very close to it.

Gleaming Christmas

This new Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper definitely gleams brightly. As you move the paper the copper foiling catches the light just right. The foil elements I added also make the card come alive. Merry Christmas!

Stamps:
   Christmas Gleaming

Paper:
   Pretty Peacock A-2
   Brightly Gleaming DSP 5 1/2 x 2
   Very Vanilla 5 1/4 x 4, Scrap

Ink:
   Pretty Peacock

Accessories:
Brightly Gleaming Foil Elements, Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Dimensionals, Fine Tip Glue Pen, Adhesive

I adhered the foil elements using my Fine Tip Glue Pen. The glue pen is very easy to use, and it allows you to direct the flow of the glue just like a pen. The thing to remember is to NOT shake the bottle. We are so use to doing this when something has sat for a long time. Yet, with this product, the shaking will only cause air bubbles that will interfere with the task at hand.

The sentiment was put on with dimensionals.

Here is another picture where the light caught the foil elements and brightened them a bit more.

Pumpkin Magnolia

Simplicity is the key here. One large beautiful flower to trigger a memory of someone.

Stamps:
   Good Morning Magnolia

Paper:
   Wild Wasabi A-2
   Magnolia Lane DSP 5 1/4 x 4
   Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4, 5 x 4 1/4

Ink:
   Early Espresso
Stamping Blends/Markers:
   Early Espresso
   Pumpkin Pie
   Calypso Coral
   Wild Wasabi
   Daffodil Delight

Technique:
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Magnolia Memory Dies, Stamparatus/MISTI, Adhesive

This is a very easy card to duplicate or CASE. It is also easy to substitute whatever you have on hand in place of these particular items. The Wild Wasabi color is the only item that has been discontinued. You can easily use Old Olive in its place. I just like to use up the things from my stash.

Christmas Season

Christmas cards should be made all year, especially if you have a long list. The images and symbols do not change nor do they get old. New trends brighten things up a bit, but nothing goes out of style when it comes to Christmas.

Stamps:
   Winter Woods

Paper:
   Mossy Meadow A-2
   Very Vanilla 5 1/4 x 4 (2), scraps
   Brightly Gleaming DSP 4 x 2 3/4

Ink:
   Mossy Meadow

Technique:
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
In the Woods Framelits Dies, Brightly Gleaming Foil Elements, Star Designer Elements, Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Shimmery Crystal Effects, Ice Stampin' Glitter,
Very Vanilla/Copper Weave Ribbon, Glue Dots, Adhesive, Fine Tip Glue Pen, Fast Fuse

The Christmas Tree is stamped twice on Very Vanilla card stock using Mossy Meadow ink. One of the images is die cut with the Christmas Tree Framelit. The other one is die cut on the tree itself, allowing the branches to be curled up.  This is what gives the tree the 3-D look. I then added the Shimmery Crystal Effects and Ice Stampin Glitter on these branches.

The ribbon was adhered with the Fast Fuse. The foil elements were put on with glue dots and the fine tip glue pen.

All of the items can be purchased through my online store. Just click on Shop Now above and order yours today.

Gorgeous Butterfly Grunge

Butterflies are so free. They migrate and fly everywhere leaving onlookers gaping at their beauty. The following card used two different stamp sets.

Stamps:
   Gorgeous Grunge
   Simple Wishes

Paper:
   Whisper White A-2, 5 1/4 x 4
   Basic Black 5 3/8 x 4 1/8, Scraps
   Hello Honey Scraps

Ink:
   Basic Black
   Hello Honey
Marker:
   Cherry Cobbler

Technique:
   Piercing, Punching

Accessories:
Large Tag Punch, Large & Small Butterfly Punches, Basic Pearl Jewels, Essentials Paper Piercing Pack, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Adhesive

The piercing was done around the tag. Hearts were colored in with the Cherry Cobbler Marker. I added pearls to the butterflies and the tag. Butterflies were attached using glue dots and the tag was added using dimensionals.

Imperfection

Thank goodness life is NOT perfect. Can you imagine how boring that would be for us? I remember as a child that the biggest disappointment was when my ice cream just fell over. Yup, it was my own fault, and I knew I only got one. Fortunately for me, I no longer drop my ice cream, although I think that is because I get it in a cup nowadays.

Stamps:
   Sprinkles of Life
   Perfect Pennants
   Gorgeous Grunge

Paper:
   Watermelon Wonder A-2, 2 1/2" Sq.
   Mint Macaron 2 1/2" Sq.
   Early Espresso 2 1/2" Sq.
Baked Brown Sugar 2" Sq. (3 pcs.)
   Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Mint Macaron
   Early Espresso
   Watermelon Wonder
   Baked Brown Sugar
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Technique:
   Punching

Accessories:
Tree Builder Punch, Basic Rhinestone Jewels, Dimensionals, Adhesive

Match the ink to the paper: Mint Macaron on Mint Macaron etc. Always stamp first and then punch out. The clouds are stamped as the ice cream tops. Stamp them close to the bottom of the square so that you can then align the punch. If you do not have the punch then just fussy cut them. Do the same for the cones.

Spatter is stamped randomly with the same color of ice cream above it. Adhere ice cream tops with dimensionals.  Add the sentiment and rhinestones.

Thanks for stopping and taking a peek. I appreciate your time and feedback.

Grungy Thank You

Say, "Thank You," with a splat of color. Clean and simple card to make. All you need is stamps, paper, and ink.

Stamps:
   Gorgeous Grunge
   Lots of Thanks

Paper:
   Tempting Turquoise A-2
   Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento
   Pacific Point
   Tempting Turquoise
   Pistachio Pudding
   Daffodil Delight
   Crisp Cantaloupe
   Strawberry Slush

Technique:
   CAS

Accessories:
   Adhesive

I used the splat stamp from Gorgeous Grunge and the sentiment from Lots of Thanks. Note that this card can be changed to suit your needs. Just change the sentiment and you are good to go. The colors are listed in order from top to bottom. I do like the simplicity of the card. Change up the colors to suit your needs, likes, or occasion. Have some fun with it.

Winter Cabin

Challenge Accepted: I was challenged to make a card using only three colors: Granny Apple Green, Call Me Clover, and Real Red. Neutrals are allowed: Very Vanilla and Archival Basic Black. I decided to go with a Christmas theme so I could use a brand new stamp set: Snow Front.

Stamps:
   Snow Front
   Good Greetings

Paper:
   Granny Apple Green A-2
   Dashing DSP 5 1/4 x 4
   Very Vanilla 5 1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Granny Apple Green
   Call Me Clover
   Real Red
   Archival Basic Black

Technique:
   Sponging, Tearing

Accessories:
   Sponge, Stamparatus/MISTI, Adhesive

I stamped my winter scene on the Very Vanilla card stock and then I tore away the edges in a circular pattern. I like that it is not a perfect circle. I then took my Real Red sponge and sponged the edges to make the piece stand out.

Tango & Cha Cha

Let's Dance! Ooh la la, while this activity is fun and is sure to get anyone's heart racing, I'm really talking about my brother's two cats. They are the finest pure bred alley cats in the area. Below is a Christmas card I made a while back that has a gray (Cha Cha) cat and a black (Tango) one. I hope you like it.

Stamps:
   Festive Fireplace

Paper:
   Whisper White A-2
Scraps:
   Basic Gray
   Real Red
   Tip Top Taupe
   Whisper White

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black
   Basic Gray
   Real Red
   Tip Top Taupe
   White Craft
Markers:
Tangerine Tango, Garden Green, Calypso Coral, Early Espresso, Delightful Dijon, Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise, Elegant Eggplant

Technique:
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
Festive Fireplace Framelits Dies, Dimensionals, Adhesive

I stamped and colored the fireplace directly on the Whisper White card base. I then die cut, colored, and added all of the elements around it. I did list all of the markers that I used, but this is a personal preference. You may color the images anyway you like.

Thank you so much for stopping by here. I appreciate your time and thoughts.
